I’m a 31 year old male from the Netherlands and have interests in UNIX/Linux software developement, digital photography and games (finally managed to quit WOW;). I’ve got my batchelor degree in computer science which I studied at the Fontys Hogescholen in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
After I graduaded in 2004, I started working for a small hosting company were I worked for 1.5 years as one of the two system administrators. Then I started working at ATComputing where I did several very challenging projects before I started maintaining and developing one of their customers main Configuration Management Databases which is complete written in Object Oriented Perl. Since the October 2007 I work for Atos Origin where I work as a Software Engineer at the previously mentioned Configuration Management Tool.
Almost all of my life I have owned both analoge and digital cameras but my interest in photography didn’t take of untill February 2008, when I bought myself my first dSLR a Canon EOS 400D with kitlens, which since then hardly left my side. To learn and progress as much as I can I read, visit website from other photographers and offcourse practice as much as I can.
My current gear includes the Canon EOS 400D camera, Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens, Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS, Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II, Canon Speedlite 430EX II, Manfrotto 786SHB ideal traveling tripod which fits perfect in my Crumpler Daily (L) photobag. I use Adobe Lightroom for processing my images but am also playing around with Aperture 2.0
I hope you enjoy the photos, as I made pretty clear I am still learning a lot, so any tips, tricks and comments are more than welcome!
Cheers!
Patrick
